Marketing to Millennials and Gen Z: AI for Wedding Businesses
How wedding planners, venues and hospitality teams can use AI to market to Millennial and Gen Z couples without losing trust, voice or the human relationship. Practical principles from Sofía García.

Millennial and Gen Z couples research their wedding the way they research everything else: on their phones, across platforms, in more than one language, and with little patience for content that does not answer their questions. At Tulum Wedding Week 2026 I gave a talk called "Marketing to Millennials & Gen Z with AI". This article builds on the ideas behind it. It is not a transcript of the slides.
The central idea is simple: AI creates value when it helps us communicate our real experience better and take better care of the relationship with each couple.
Show the real work
Trust starts with proof. Show real weddings, the team and the process behind each celebration: the planning call, the setup, the people who make the day happen. Couples want to see who will be there for them, not only the final photo.
Answer the questions couples actually ask
The most useful content answers concrete questions about budget, logistics, personalization and the guest experience. What is included? How does the rain plan work? How do guests get from the hotel to the ceremony? Each clear answer is also content that search engines and AI assistants can find and cite.
Use AI to organize, adapt and follow up
AI is a strong assistant for organizing ideas, adapting content between languages and channels, and supporting lead follow-up so no inquiry is forgotten. It saves time on the repetitive parts of marketing and sales.
Review everything and keep a recognizable voice
AI can draft; a professional decides. Review every piece of information personally, especially prices, policies and anything a couple will rely on, and protect a brand voice people can recognize. Couples notice when content sounds generic.
Connect marketing, sales and operations
Marketing makes promises that sales confirms and operations has to keep. When the three are connected, what you communicate is what the couple receives. When they are not, the best content in the world becomes a complaint.
Measure what matters
Reach and engagement are useful signals, but they are not the goal. Measure qualified inquiries, venue visits and bookings. Those numbers tell you whether your marketing is building a business.
Where to start
Pick one channel, one language pair and one recurring question couples ask you. Use AI to help you answer it well, review it yourself, publish it, and measure the inquiries it brings. Then repeat.
If you want to build this system for your own wedding business, this is part of the mentoring and team training I offer through The Love Coach & Training.
